I have been reading many posts after googling on the issues of Windows 8.1 with WIDI and also the refresh rate being stuck at 30hz for 1080p. I have just purchased a Dell Inspiron notebook. model here Dell Inspiron 7447 and can utilise WIDI to connect to my Samsung LED TV http://www.samsung.com/africa_en/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UA46F5500AKXXA. but the resolution is stuck at 1280 x 768 refresh rate 30hz. I understand that many people face the same issue with the refresh rate stuck at 30hz due to the new enforced framework of MIRACAST but didn;t find a single post where the display automatically switch to lower resolution upon successful WIDI connection. Both the notebook and the TV are capable of 1080p display. Anyone else face this problem in the past ? Can Joe_Intel offer any suggestion ?@
