I just bought a Geforce GTX 650 graphics card and upon installing it I've had a host of problems. First, my computer was automatically restarting twice before booting up normally. This stopped after I fastened the gpu at a straight angle because before the screw in the back would fasten it at a slight angle. Now when I connect the monitor to the motherboard, the computer doesn't seem to recognize the new hardware is there even though I can hear the gpu's fan going during the boot-up. If I plug the monitor straight into the gpu I get a black screen. I'm sure the gpu is connected to both the pci express x16 bus and the 6 pin pci-e.
Here's my specs:
Dell Inspiron 530
Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33 GHz
3GB RAM
32 bit OS
Windows Vista
Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
Power supply has a max load of 530W
If I missed any important information I'm more than willing to provide it.
