Hi evo85210, your system is indeed compatible from the hardware perspective; this leads me to believe that the issue is software related somehow.

Kindly try the following:

  1. Please verify if the operating system is Windows* 8 or Windows* 8.1 from System Properties, Control Panel.
  2. Try uninstalling your Intel® PROSet Software and install the latest version (16.11) in custom mode and make sure the Wireless Software Extensions are selected to be installed. Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software — Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software downloads

 

If the issue persists please provide the logs found at:

  • C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Temp\MSI<number>.log
  • C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\WiDiSetupLog.<timestamp>.wdl

These files can be attached using the Advanced Editor.
